After breakfast, we stop briefly at the serene Pomacanchi Lake, a perfect spot to enjoy the landscape and take pictures of the high Andean countryside.
We then continue to the small community of Santa Lucía, where our short and scenic Waqrapukara hike begins. The walk lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour and follows a gentle trail, making it accessible to travelers of all ages and fitness levels.
As you reach Waqrapukara, perched dramatically on a mountain ridge at over 4,300 meters above sea level, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views of canyons and valleys below.
