Itinerary
DAY 1: Welcome to Cusco – Day at Leisure
We begin the adventure by picking you up early from your hotel in central Cusco at 4:30 a.m. We travel for about 1 hour and 45 minutes to Cusipata, where we will have breakfast. After, we continue to reach the trailhead near the Palcoyo community.
Upon arrival, we will start a gentle hike at over 4,800 meters above sea level. The walk takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour and requires minimal physical effort, making it ideal for all ages and fitness levels. Along the trail, you will see three rainbow mountains, a stone forest made of ancient geological formations, and breathtaking views of Ausangate, the highest peak in Cusco.
After enjoying the views, taking photos, and learning about the Andean ecosystem and traditions, we return to the trailhead and head back to Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. We then return to Cusco, with arrival expected around 5:45 p.m., and drop-off near the Plaza de Armas.
