Itinerary
DAY 1: Cusco - Humantay Lake
Your day begins with early morning pickup from your hotel in central Cusco at 4:30 a.m. We drive for about 2 hours to Mollepata, a small town in the Anta province, where we enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast.
From there, we continue by car to Soraypampa (3,900 m), the trailhead of our hike. The hike to Humantay Lake takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours at a steady pace. Along the way, enjoy the changing landscapes and learn about the local environment and traditions from your guide.
Upon reaching the lake (4,200 m), marvel at the vivid turquoise waters framed by snow-covered peaks. There will be time to rest, take photos, and participate in a short Andean ritual to honor the mountain spirits.
We then descend to Soraypampa and return to Mollepata for a buffet lunch before heading back to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco is expected around 5:30 p.m., with drop-off near the Plaza de Armas.
